About the Project
The Community Center Renovation project aimed to transform an aging 1970s facility into a state-of-the-art hub for social engagement, learning, and recreation. The original structure suffered from poor insulation, outdated accessibility features, and underutilized space.
Our team approached this challenge by gutting the interior to create an open-concept layout that maximizes natural light. We reinforced the structural integrity to support a new green roof system and added a 5,000 sq ft expansion to house a digital library and tech lab.
Key challenges included maintaining operations for essential services during phased construction and integrating modern HVAC systems into the existing framework without compromising ceiling heights.
